The Horror at 37,000 Feet

A jet crosses the Atlantic in 1973 with Captain Ernie Slade (Chuck Connors) at the controls and a load of stones taken from an English abbey riding in the baggage hold. David Lowell Rich keeps the passengers, including Glenn Farlee (Buddy Ebsen) and Mrs. Pinder (Tammy Grimes), sealed inside the cabin for the whole flight. The film's dread rests on a plain idea: some things cannot be moved from where they belong, and nobody on board can leave.
