Victor Frankenstein (Ralph Bates) is a brilliant and arrogant young scientist who sets out to build a man from spare body parts, with the Graverobber (Dennis Price) supplying the material. When the creature (David Prowse) comes to life, it does not stay in the laboratory. Jimmy Sangster directs a remake of Hammer's own 1957 film, played half as parody, and he lets the dark humor sit in the same room as the bodies.
