The Horse Whisperer

After an accident, Grace MacLean (Scarlett Johansson) and her horse both come back changed, the girl silent and the animal too frightened to be touched. Her mother, Annie (Kristin Scott Thomas), hears of a trainer named Tom Booker (Robert Redford) who understands horses in a way no one else does, and takes them both to find him. Redford directs the film and plays Booker himself, giving the story a calm, unhurried pace.
