The Host

“Man has made his newest predator.”

Park Gang-du (Song Kang-ho) runs a food stand on the bank of the Han River in Seoul, where he spends most days half asleep behind the counter. When a mutated creature rises from the water, it carries off his daughter Hyun-seo (Ko Asung), and Gang-du, his father (Byun Hee-bong), his brother and his sister (Bae Doona) set out to find her. Bong Joon Ho builds the story around a family whose bickering and old failures make them poor soldiers for a rescue.
