The Hotel New Hampshire

“The successes and failures of an American family.”

In the 1950s, Win Berry (Beau Bridges) moves his family into a failing New Hampshire hotel and later takes on another in Vienna. Tony Richardson fills the rooms with the Berry children, among them Franny (Jodie Foster) and John (Rob Lowe), and with a family father who keeps believing in the next place. Franny and John stay at the center, two siblings whose closeness holds the household together.
