The Hottest Summer

Lucia (Nicole Damiani) has spent every summer volunteering at a camp on the Sicilian coast, and she expects this one to run like the others. Then Nicola (Gianmarco Saurino) arrives, a deacon close to becoming a priest, handsome and carrying a restless, idealistic streak that unsettles the whole seaside community. Matteo Pilati sets the story under a record-breaking heat, so the camp feels baked and slow while everyone's plans start to slip.
