The Hourglass Sanatorium

Józef (Jan Nowicki) is a young Jewish man who takes a train to a decaying sanatorium to see his father, and finds the place half empty and strangely out of step with the clock. Wojciech Has, adapting Bruno Schulz's stories, sends him from room to room, each one built from his own memories, dreams and nightmares. Józef keeps walking through them, looking for his father among rooms that hold the people he has lost.
