The House of the Seven Gables

“AN ANCIENT HOUSE! A MURDER SECRET! A HIDDEN TREASURE!”

In 1828, the bankrupt Pyncheon family fights over Seven Gables, the ancestral mansion, and Jaffrey Pyncheon (George Sanders) gets the house by having his brother Clifford (Vincent Price) convicted of a murder he did not commit. Joe May follows Hepzibah (Margaret Lindsay), Clifford's fiancée, who waits twenty years for his release. It is a story about what a family will give up to keep a house.
