The House on 92nd Street

(1945)Directed by Henry Hathaway88 minThriller
“The F.B.I.'s own tense, terrific story behind the protection of the ATOMIC BOMB!”

Nazi agents are living and working inside the United States, and the FBI has to find them before the secrets reach Germany. Bill Dietrich (William Eythe) is drawn into the hunt, which runs through the title house in New York and a network that includes Elsa Gebhardt (Signe Hasso) and Charles Ogden Roper (Gene Lockhart). Henry Hathaway shot most of it on the streets of New York with the Bureau's cooperation, and the film plays like a case file.
