The Hunting Party

The plains are flat and dry, and the rancher Brandt Ruger (Gene Hackman) has just learned that his wife, Melissa (Candice Bergen), was taken from his house by Frank Calder (Oliver Reed) and his gang. Ruger gathers a party of hired men and rides out with long-range rifles that can kill from beyond the reach of any return fire. Don Medford sets the chase against that bleached country, with Melissa caught between her captor and a husband who will not stop.
