“The story before Snow White.”

In a fairy-tale kingdom where the first film's events sit just behind and just ahead, two sisters, Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) and Freya (Emily Blunt), are readying a conquest of the surrounding land. Eric the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) and his forbidden lover Sara (Jessica Chastain), who once helped Snow White bring Ravenna down, set out to stop them. Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, directing for the first time, fills the screen with heavy costume and ornate set design.
