The Idea of You

“When the last thing you expect becomes the only thing you want.”

Solène (Anne Hathaway), forty and divorced, ends up backstage at a festival after taking her daughter Izzy (Ella Rubin) to see August Moon, the biggest boy band on the planet. There she meets its lead singer, Hayes (Nicholas Galitzine), who is twenty-four and does not leave her alone for long. Michael Showalter builds the romance on a plain question of whether the world will let a woman her age love someone that famous.
