The Illusionist

“Nothing is what it seems”

Nobody in Vienna can explain how Eisenheim (Edward Norton) does what he does on stage. His act brings him back to Sophie (Jessica Biel), a childhood love now promised to Crown Prince Leopold (Rufus Sewell), and Inspector Uhl (Paul Giamatti) begins to take an interest in both the magician and the court. Neil Burger sets it in turn-of-the-century Vienna, and Eisenheim stands alone in the lamplight, his hands still, the whole room watching him.
