The Immortal One

N (Jacques Doniol-Valcroze), a lonely man on his travels, meets L (Françoise Brion), a striking, elusive woman who may or may not belong to a prostitution ring. A few days after they begin, she vanishes. Alain Robbe-Grillet follows him as he searches, while the people he questions act as if they have never heard of her, leaving the two of them bound by a closeness he cannot prove.
