The Importance of Being Earnest

Jack Worthing (Colin Firth) and Algernon Moncrieff (Rupert Everett) each invent a second self called Ernest, so each can slip away from respectable 1890s England whenever it suits him. Then both men fall for women who say they could only ever love a man named Ernest, and Oliver Parker sends the tangle toward Lady Bracknell (Judi Dench). Both suitors stand to lose the women they love.
