The Impostors

(1998)Directed by Stanley Tucci101 min · RComedy
“Why be yourself when you can be somebody else?”

Arthur (Stanley Tucci) and Maurice (Oliver Platt) are out-of-work actors who can't pay for a meal and will do almost anything to stay in the business. They get blamed for beating up a fellow actor and end up hiding on a cruise ship with the law on their trail. Tucci writes and directs the whole thing as an old-fashioned farce, and these two keep running, because stopping means going back to being hungry and unemployed.
