The Incredible Mr. Limpet

(1964)Directed by Arthur Lubin99 min · GAnimation, Family, Comedy, War, Fantasy
“GLUB! The face that launched a thousand torpedoes!”

When the Second World War breaks out, Henry Limpet (Don Knotts), a timid bookkeeper, is turned down by the Navy and goes home to his wife Bessie (Carole Cook) and his fish tanks. Arthur Lubin directs the live-action half of a Warner Bros. picture that drops Henry into the sea as a talking fish, working with the Navy against German submarines. Henry has wanted this longer than he has wanted anything, and he is the only one who knows it.
