A mixture of household chemicals leaves Pat Kramer (Lily Tomlin) a little smaller each day, and the scientists called in can't explain it. Her husband Vance (Charles Grodin) and the kids keep the house running around her shrinking frame, while a group that wants to take over the world starts planning to kidnap her. Joel Schumacher plays it straight and deadpan, with Pat at the center of the family, getting smaller and still answering the phone.
