The Indian Runner

Joe Roberts (David Morse) is a patient, steady man who keeps the peace as a highway patrolman, and he loves the brother who keeps breaking it. Frank (Viggo Mortensen) comes back from Vietnam angry and unable to settle, finding the worst in everyone and everything. Sean Penn's first film, drawn from a Springsteen song, is about two men raised in one house who look at the same world and cannot see the same thing.
