The Infidel

“A Comedy Of Ethnic Proportions”

Mahmud Nasir (Omid Djalili), a London cab driver who drinks and skips his prayers, needs the approval of a hardline cleric, Arshad El-Masri (Igal Naor), before his son can marry the man's stepdaughter. Then he learns from his late mother's papers that he was adopted and born Jewish. Josh Appignanesi puts him in a room with a Jewish neighbor, Lenny Goldberg (Richard Schiff), and lets the two of them argue about who gets to decide what a family is.
