The Inhabited Island

A planet that should be empty turns out to be crowded, and its people are living in a poor, polluted version of the 20th century. Maxim Kammerer (Vasiliy Stepanov), a space explorer from the Free Search Group, makes an emergency landing there and can't leave. Fyodor Bondarchuk sends him into a country run by a regime that brainwashes its citizens, where Maxim has to work out whom he can trust before the place decides what to do with him.
