The Institute

In 19th-century Baltimore, Isabel Porter (Allie Gallerani) is grieving her parents' sudden deaths when she checks herself into the Rosewood Institute. Dr. Cairn (James Franco) runs the place, and the experiments there in brainwashing and personality modification grow more violent the longer she stays. Pamela Romanowsky and Franco, working from a true story, make the cruelty a form of medicine, handed out by men who call it care.
