Ben Whittaker (Robert De Niro), a 70-year-old widower, finds retirement emptier than he expected and signs up as a senior intern at an online fashion company. His boss is Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway), the founder, who runs the place at a sprint and did not ask for a mentor. Nancy Meyers sets him down among the young employees in his pressed suit, a man with a handkerchief in his pocket and nowhere else to be.
