“Who will be alive when the hands stop?”

Robert Elliot (James Coburn), an American professor in London, has been offered a post as a presidential adviser, and he wants it badly. The trouble is his past as a spy, and the handful of people who still know it. Ken Hughes follows Elliot as he starts disposing of them one by one, with everything he has worked for resting on no one surviving to talk.
