Dave Skylark (James Franco) and Aaron Rapaport (Seth Rogen) host a celebrity gossip show and land an interview with Kim Jong-un (Randall Park) in North Korea. The CIA recruits them to assassinate the dictator during the taping. Skylark and Rapaport arrive in Pyongyang with a plan they barely understand, moving through the machinery of a totalitarian state with the confidence of men who have never failed at anything before.
