The Intruder

“He Fed Their Fears And Turned Neighbor Against Neighbor!”

Adam Cramer (William Shatner) steps off the bus in a small Southern town in a white suit, introducing himself as a social reformer. The town is days from court-ordered school integration, and Cramer starts talking to anyone who will listen, stirring up trouble he soon finds he can't control. Roger Corman shot it on location with a lean, plain eye, and the film leaves its ugliness unsoftened.
