The Iron Giant

“It came from outer space!”

It is 1957 in a small Maine town, and the Cold War hangs over everything like a storm cloud. A young boy named Hogarth Hughes discovers a massive metal robot washed up in the forest, a creature from somewhere beyond the earth with no memory of how it arrived. Brad Bird draws the world in warm grays and greens, and lets the friendship between the boy and the giant unfold with the patience of a film that trusts silence.
