The Island

An island in Upper Egypt belongs to the El-Hefny family, and nobody explains how a clan came to hold so much ground, or why the police and parliament members keep making room for them. Sherif Arafa follows Mansour El-Hefny (Ahmed Al Saqqa), who runs the family's arms and drug trade, and his brother Ali (Mahmood Yaseen), who stands beside him. What holds the film together is the pull between those two men, and what each owes the other.
