The Island of Dr. Moreau

“A tropical paradise, untouched by man... where a bizarre civilization exists.”

Andrew Braddock (Michael York) wants only to get home, but a shipwreck leaves him washed up on a Pacific island instead. Dr. Paul Moreau (Burt Lancaster) lives there with his assistant Montgomery (Nigel Davenport), working on beasts he has turned into men. Don Taylor shoots it in the rough, grainy look of 1970s drive-in horror and keeps the dread low and steady.
