The Italian Job

(1969)Directed by Peter Collinson100 min · GCrime, Comedy, Thriller
“Introducing the plans for a new business venture: "The Italian Job."”

A man who planned a gold robbery in Turin has already been stopped before the film begins, and no one will say how. Charlie Croker (Michael Caine) walks out of prison, hears about the job, and takes it over, with three Mini Coopers and a plan to jam the whole city. Peter Collinson keeps Charlie's gang close around him, and his bond with Mr. Bridger (Noël Coward), the jailed crime boss who bankrolls it, holds the whole scheme together.
