On Halloween night in a small town, the Jester (Michael Sheffield) emerges from the dark with card tricks and a knife. Teen magician Max (Kaitlyn Trentham) crosses his path and realizes his magic draws on forces beyond illusion. She spends the hours until dawn trying to stay ahead of him, learning that his tricks always end in blood.
