The Journey to Melonia

“Fantasies of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest'”

Prospero (Allan Edwall) is the self-styled all-powerful wizard of Melonia, a paradise island he shares with a handful of strange friends. His quiet routine breaks when a ship sinks in a storm and a slave from the industrial island of Plutonia washes up on his beach. Per Åhlin, loosely adapting Shakespeare's The Tempest, sets the old wizard against the stranger, and each sizes the other up.
