The Juniper Tree

“A dark tale of witchcraft and mysticism”

In medieval Iceland, a mother is burned for witchcraft, and her daughters Katla (Bryndis Petra Bragadóttir) and Margit (Björk) run for safety. They take shelter with Johann (Valdimar Örn Flygenring) and his resentful young son, Jónas (Geirlaug Sunna Þormar), and the four settle into a family of their own. Nietzchka Keene shot it in black and white, and Katla's growing sorcery puts that fragile home, and Margit with it, at risk.
