The Juror

“There is no defense.”

Annie (Demi Moore) is a single mother who raises her son Oliver (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) on her own and agrees to sit on a jury for a mob trial, hoping it will break up a humdrum life. Brian Gibson follows her as the man called Teacher (Alec Baldwin), the mob's enforcer, starts to close in on her. He is courteous and unhurried with her, and Oliver is the person he is watching.
