The Kashmir Files

“Right to Justice”

Krishna Pandit (Darshan Kumaar), a university student in Delhi, wants to bring his grandfather's ashes home to Kashmir and learn what became of his family. His grandfather, Pushkar Nath Pandit (Anupam Kher), spent years waiting to return to a valley that had driven out the Kashmiri Pandits. Vivek Agnihotri's fictional story presents the exodus as genocide, a framing scholars call inaccurate, and Krishna is the one left to decide which version he will believe.
