Five years ago, the politician Merete Lynggaard vanished while travelling on a ferry with her brother, and nobody has explained it since. Carl Mørck (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) and Hafez el-Assad (Fares Fares), the only two officers in Copenhagen's cold-case Department Q, are handed the file. Mikkel Nørgaard keeps them among the old reports, the brother's testimony and the long pauses of Mørck, who stares at the boxes and doesn't speak.
