The Kid

On the Strait of Gibraltar, where Spain sits within sight of Morocco, two young men take their first jobs in the drug-smuggling trade. Niño (Jesús Castro) and his friend Compi are drawn in by Rachid (Moussa Maaskri) and Inglés (Ian McShane), while the police officers Jesús (Luis Tosar) and Eva (Bárbara Lennie) work to shut the trade down. Daniel Monzón cuts between both sides of the water, and the film keeps landing on the dark shapes of the boats.
