The Kid Detective

“No longer a kid. Not much of a detective.”

Abe Applebaum (Adam Brody) was the town's celebrity kid detective, and at 31 he still takes the same small cases, a missing pet or a stolen bike, between hangovers. Then Caroline (Sophie Nélisse) walks into his office and asks him to find out who murdered her boyfriend. Evan Morgan plays the whole thing in a flat, even tone, so the jokes and the grief sit in the same scene.
