The Killers

(1964)Directed by Don Siegel93 minCrime, Mystery
“There's more than one way to kill a man!”

Two hired killers, Charlie Strom (Lee Marvin) and his partner Lee (Clu Gulager), walk into a school for the blind and shoot a former race-car driver, who sees them coming and never runs. That bothers Charlie enough that the two men start digging into the dead man's past, including Sheila Farr (Angie Dickinson). Don Siegel treats the job like paperwork, a procedural built from questions asked, doors knocked on, and flat, matter-of-fact violence.
