The Kindergarten Teacher

One morning at his kindergarten, five-year-old Jimmy Roy (Parker Sevak) recites a poem he says just came to him, and his teacher, Lisa Spinelli (Maggie Gyllenhaal), hears a gift for language no one else in her Staten Island classroom has noticed. Sara Colangelo follows Lisa as the boy becomes her private project. Her husband, Grant (Michael Chernus), and her own freedom are the price of getting it wrong.
