All hail.

Early fifteenth-century England: the aging King Henry IV (Ben Mendelsohn) rules while his son Hal (Timothée Chalamet) drinks in taverns with the aging knight Falstaff (Joel Edgerton), avoiding the crown that waits for him. When Henry dies, Hal inherits a kingdom at war with France and must choose between the man he was and the ruler he has to become. By the end, he has made himself into a king, and there is no going back.
