The King of Kings

(2025)Directed by Jang Seong-ho102 min · PGAdventure, Animation, Family, Fantasy
“A father's greatest joy is raising his son.”

Charles Dickens (Kenneth Branagh) is a famous storyteller whose young son Walter (Roman Griffin Davis) wants a story he has not heard before. Dickens gives him the life of Jesus (Oscar Isaac), and in the boy's imagination Walter follows along the road, through the miracles and the trials that come with them. Seong-ho Jang animates it in warm color, and the lamp beside the bed is the last thing that stays in view.
