The King of Masks

In Sichuan, an aging street performer called the King of Masks draws crowds with Sichuan Change Art, swapping painted faces in a blink. Wang Bianlian (Zhu Xu) has no one to hand it to, since his wife left long ago and his only son died at ten. Wu Tianming films the old man's trade and his loneliness as plainly as the masks themselves.
