The Kingdom

A man collects Lesia (Ghjuvanna Benedetti), still a teenager, and drives her to a villa where she has not been told what she'll find. Inside is her father Pierre-Paul (Saveriu Santucci), a fugitive hiding out with his men while a war breaks open around them. Julien Colonna keeps the camera close on her, so we watch a daughter get to know her father, the villa's closed rooms and the men's low voices pressing in.
