The Kreutzer Sonata
Pozdnychev (Éric Rohmer) married a sensual young woman, and some time later he understands that the only thing tying him to her is the body. Then a violinist (Jean-Claude Brialy) begins to play the Kreutzer Sonata with his wife, and she comes alive in a way she never did with him. Rohmer's short film, adapted from Tolstoy, turns on a husband who cannot tell his jealousy from his love.
