“It's His Biggest, Broadest, Funniest Production Yet!”

Herbert H. Heebert (Jerry Lewis) has just finished college when his sweetheart leaves him for another man, and he swears off women for good. The only job he can find is houseboy at a big boarding house, where the whole household turns out to be dozens of young women. Jerry Lewis, who also directs, sets the story under the roof of Miss Wellenmellon (Helen Traubel), and the film is about Herbert and his promise to himself.
