The Lady Hermit

In a Hong Kong martial arts picture from 1971, a young kung fu student sets out to find a reclusive teacher who can train her to fight the Black Demon (Wang Hsieh). Along the way she befriends a servant woman (Cheng Pei-pei) and has no idea she is the master she is looking for. Director Ho Meng-Hua puts the two women at the center, their trust and their training pulling against a love triangle that comes between them.
