The Lady Vanishes

“Had she vanished into thin air...Or was she never really there?”

An elderly woman is sitting in the compartment one minute and gone the next, and every passenger Amanda Kelly (Cybill Shepherd) asks swears she was never aboard. Anthony Page sets the story on a train crossing Germany on the eve of World War II, with Amanda pairing up with the photographer Robert Condon (Elliott Gould) to search for Miss Froy (Angela Lansbury). Amanda moves down the corridor, from one shut compartment door to the next, asking the same question.
