The Ladykillers

Professor G.H. Dorr (Tom Hanks) rents a room from Marva Munson (Irma P. Hall), a sharp old woman, and tells her his crew is a band that needs somewhere to rehearse. They are really tunneling toward a casino vault. Joel and Ethan Coen remake the 1955 Ealing comedy in the South, and the film sets one polite landlady against a house full of men who underestimate her.
