The Last Black Man in San Francisco

“Fight for your land. Fight for your home.”

Jimmie Fails (Jimmie Fails) wants back the Victorian house his grandfather built in the heart of San Francisco, the one his family lost years ago. Joe Talbot, in his first feature, follows Jimmie as he returns to it again and again, with his best friend Mont (Jonathan Majors) beside him in a city that has changed around them. Mont is the one who stays close, the one who keeps showing up while Jimmie tries to find a place to belong.
